Moulsford Pavilion is a delightful venue nestling within the centre of the village.  Moulsford sits in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty between the Chilterns and the river Thames.  This unique country setting has made Moulsford Pavilion an extremely popular venue for a variety of events with many users returning time after time.

The Pavilion is set on the edge of the village recreation field and comprises a large hall, fully equipped kitchen, toilets, disabled access and for those requiring them, changing rooms and showers.  The hall can accommodate up to 80 people seated and works equally well for smaller numbers.  

There is parking and hirers are generally able to use the areas around the Pavilion for outside games but do not have exclusive use of the recreation ground.

In May 2014 an Adventure Play Area was installed on the recreation field. Please note that Hirers may use the recreation field and play area, but cannot reserve exclusive access.

A note on bouncy castles and other similar inflatable devices.
Recently insurers have reassessed the public liability risk of using these devices and have moved to withdraw cover provided to Parish Councils and similar organisations.  Consequently, Moulsford Pavilion does not allow the use of these devices unless you, the Hirer, secures their own public liability insurance. Please note it is not sufficient that your bouncy castle provider is insured, You, the Hirer, must be insured too. 

 

Is Moulsford Pavilion Perfect For My Event?

The Pavilion is used for all sorts of events, clubs and gatherings, so whether you are planning a family celebration, a children's party, a country wedding or looking for a venue for regular meetings or classes, Moulsford will be the perfect choice.  

Hirers of the Pavilion benefit from:

• Use of the kitchen, the main hall, verandah and toilets.
• The kitchen includes an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, kettles and two dishwashers.
• The kitchen has two serving areas, one directly into the hall and one onto the verandah overlooking the recreation field. 
• The Pavilion comes equipped with sufficient tables, chairs, crockery and cutlery for most events.  Additional quantities     these items can be hired via the Bookings Secretary.
• There is off road parking.

Our hiring arrangements are very flexible.  Please contact us to discuss your needs. 

We are keen to establish more regular users of the Pavilion and may be able to offer assistance when piloting new ventures.  Please contact us to discuss your plans.

Use of the changing rooms and showers is by separate arrangement.  Please contact the Bookings Secretary for further information.

All Hirers are required to complete a Booking Form, sign a Hirer Agreement and pay a deposit.   Booking forms and Hirer Agreements are available from the Bookings Secretary.

How to find Moulsford Pavilion

Moulsford Pavilion is located on the recreation ground in the centre of the village.

If approaching from the south (Streatley) continue on the A329 into Moulsford and the recreation ground is on the left.

If approaching from the north (Wallingford) continue on the A329 into Moulsford passing Moulsford Preparatory school on the left and Cranford House school on the right. Follow the road for a further 200 metres and the recreation ground in on the right.
